Tarte au sucre / Sugar pie
It's not Christmas without tarte au sucre! I grabbed this recipe from Genius Kitchen, and modified it just slightly, but I'm so afraid to lose it that I wanted to post it here.
I didn't do the butter cubes, since other people said that it made the top of the pie greasy. Instead, I just mixed the melted butter in with the wet ingredients, and it was fine.
I also baked it for closer to 60 minutes, because my oven thought 350F actually meant 325F, and halfway through I had to up it to 375F to get it to actually be 350F and ANYWAY just keep an eye on it.
